About Us

Hanover Outdoors (formerly Lyme Angler) is located in downtown Hanover, the home of Dartmouth College. In 2005, we relocated to a larger and newly renovated building at 17 ½ Lebanon St. As part of our move, we expanded our scope to include products from some of the finest manufacturers of outdoor clothing and gear available.

With new names such as Asolo, Mountain Khaki's, Mountain Hardware, Muck, Outdoor Research, Quartz Nature and Scarpa added to our previous lines from Barbour, Ex Officio, Orvis, Patagonia and Victorinox/Swiss Army, we have something that you need no matter what the nature of your outdoor pursuits.

Appalachian Trail hikers will find an ever expanding line of gear and supplies from Aquamira, Crazy Creek, Cutter, Darn Tough, Granger, Holey Soles, Jet Boil, Mountain House, Petzl, Princeton Tec, Sawyer, Sigg, Smartwool and more.

We continue to be the authorities on fly fishing in the Dartmouth-Sunapee region. In addition to being a full line ORVIS dealer, we have expanded our fly fishing products to include Air Flo, Frog Hair, Scott, Temple Fork and Tibor. We also have added gear for spin fisherman from Shimano, Mepps, Rapala, Trilene and others.

All of our employees are outdoor enthusiasts – fishing, hunting, hiking etc. – and have years of experience both locally and across the country (even Canada). If you are visiting the Upper Valley and need information on local trails, fishing or wildlife; or if you are hiking the Appalachian Trail (it runs right by our front door), stop in the store for a visit.
