Fly Fishing Equipment

Fly fishing has been a focus of our store since the beginning. Recently we have added spin fishing to our line as well. Fishing should be a simple and enjoyable pastime. Unfortunately, the industry has made Fly Fishing a very bewildering an endeavor. At Hanover Outdoors, we keep it simple. All you need is a rod and reel, a line, leader and fly. We offer a full range of rods and reels from Orvis, Hardy, Sage, Scott, Hatch, Abel, and Temple Fork for the fly fisherman as well as a variety of gear for the spin fisherman. We will tailor the equipment to your needs and your budget. If you’re a trout fisherman, we can set you up with an outfit from Orvis, Hardy, or Temple Fork for as little as $200 complete. If you want state of art, the Orvis Helios series uses nanotechnology to produce the finest casting fly rod available. You don’t have to understand how it is built to appreciate the performance. If you are looking for the best in fly reels, you owe it to yourself to consider a Hatch, simply the smoothest design ever produced. Tradition important? Hardy invented it and they, once again, are offering their legendary models. Add a pair of waders and boots from Simms or Orvis and you are ready, we guarantee that you will catch fish.

Rental Equipment:  The basic rental package includes waders and boots, rod, reel, line, leader and 3 trout flies PLUS a one-day license (NH or VT) for $59.95. 

If you already have a license and just need equipment, the charge is $15.00 per day for each item rented (e.g. $15 for a rod, $15 for waders etc.).
