Fishing Report 8/8

Small brooks are fishing very well.  This weekend we had a great day, catching more than 20 Brook trout on dry flies.  Water temp. was 56 degrees! Also a few good reports from local rivers, with Seth catching all 3 trout species. Bass fishing on the Conn. river and lakes/ponds is still good also.

Almost 3 inches of rain this past Friday, made most rivers muddy on Saturday.  They cleared by Sunday however and are now backed down to normal summer flows. This past week we had 4 very productive guided trips.  The weather got a little hot over the weekend, but early AM fishing and brook fishing paid off. Happy 4th to all. Fishing has been good this weekend. White River:  Good dry fly action!  Size 16 and 18 Elk Wing Caddis (tan).
