Fishing Conditions

Generally speaking fishing season in NH closes Oct. 15th for most rivers and most species.  Check the reg book for a list of rivers, or sections of rivers, that are open past Saturday (such as the Pemi and Sugar rivers).  For example, the fly-fishing only section on the Sugar is open until Nov. 30th. Good reports are coming in from the upper Conn. and upper White rivers. Caddis hatching on the upper Conn. Big flies (buggers, muddlers and zonkers) have been catching some very nice size trout on the White. Steve reports fly cinnamon ants hatching on the Mascoma river.
