About Hanover Outdoors

Hanover Outdoors is located at 17 1/2 Lebanon St. in downtown Hanover, NH the home of Dartmouth College. We are an outdoor and sporting goods retailer with a special focus on fly fishing. Our goal is to not only provide local and visiting outdoor enthusiasts with the finest in outdoor gear and clothing but also to offer our unmatched expertise so that each customer may enjoy the many opportunities in outdoor recreation offered in the Upper Connecticut River Valley.

Tom Ciardelli — a New Hampshire native, avid fisherman and hunter, and board member for VINS, Northern Woodlands and the Upper Valley Land Trust – has owned the store for 10 years.  Our manager, Ron Rhodes, serves as our head guide and is a board member for Trout Unlimited and the White River Partnership.  The rest of our staff are also outdoor enthusiasts; fishing, hiking, camping etc.

We continue to be the authorities on fly fishing in the Upper Valley and specifically on the White River, Mascoma River and Sugar River.  In addition to being a full line ORVIS dealer, we offer the finest products from Simms, Hardy, Hatch, Scott, Sage, Abel and Temple Fork.  We offer guided fly fishing trips in NH and VT.  If fly fishing is not your thing, we also carry spinning equipment as well.  We are not only local fishing experts, but also have experience fishing from California to Maine and from Patagonia to Labrador.
