large mouth bass from southeastern NC. My nephew Colton loves to fish, but scared to touch the fish. My father doing a fine job of gilling this one.

My 9 year old son got a July 3rd present!
Must admit this was not caught on a fly rod – estimated at 5.5 lbs – largemouth caught in about 6 feet of water. Released to fight another day.

Stopped at Hanover Outdoors and picked up some size 6 dry fly hooks, went home and tied up a few monster flies, and spent the day twitching and popping them on Mascoma lake. Apparently he thought they were tasty…
tried a new fishing spot before the weather got too warm, and caught my biggest trout yet – this beautiful 13 inch rainbow! wish it was cooler again
