Fishing has been good almost everywhere this week, and no reason it shouldn’t continue thru the holiday weekend.
White River: Tate took a customer out yesterday and they caught a dozen Rainbows on yellow and orange Stimulators. One of our regular customers came in today with a video of the 27 inch Rainbow he caught on a woolly bugger last week! NICE FISH!!!
Sugar River: Reports are good here also. Stonefly nymphs are paying off.
Mascoma River: Steve reports a few trout caught, but that the river is a bit low below the lake.
Ottauquechee River: No new reports, but the river looks good.
Hatch Update: Isonychia and Hexagenia are hatching on the White. Little Green Stoneflies have been spotted on the Third Branch. Green Caddis and Alder Flies have been hatching. As are Blue Winged Olives.
Hope everybody has a great holiday and good fishing

Any pictures of the 27″ rainbow and are you sure it was not a returning landlock salmon?
Jack – if you are referring to the picture in the Randolph Herald last week, it was stated that the guy caught a 31 inch Brown trout. You fish the White enough to know that it probably wasn’t a Brown trout. The folks at the US Forest Service are looking at the picture and tracking the Atlantic salmon to see if it might have been one of the fish that made it back up the Connecticut and into the White. My guess is the guy that caught it (and killed it) will be getting a phone call or visit. – Ron
