Fly Fishing School – June 19th (Father’s Day)
Great gift idea for Dad! Sign up for our June fly fishing school, taught by our head guide Ron Rhodes (who also teaches the Dartmouth fly fishing class). Whether you have never tried fly fishing before, or just can’t get rid of that “tailing loop”, you will walk away having learned a great deal more than you expected. We cover everything from equipment and casting instruction to insect identification, knot tying and fish location.
Our school includes the following:
9 AM to 4 PM – Classroom style information on equipment, reading the water, entomology, knots, fly selection and safe wading techniques. You will receive a free copy of the Orvis Fly Fishing 101 book also to refer back to after class. All casting instruction takes place on the water at Storrs Pond. Ron will have all the equipment (rods, reels, line, etc.), but feel free to bring your own if you want. After class you will receive a 15% discount card toward a one-time purchase of equipment at Hanover Outdoros. NOTE: all school participants should bring their own lunch, water etc.
Registration: The cost is $100.00 (a second person can be added for an additional $50). A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required at the time of registration.
If you are unable to attend the class you are registered for, the deposit may be applied to any other class scheduled during the same calendar year. Phone registration is possible with the use of a credit card. Otherwise, registration must be in person. Note: If you are using a Hanover Outdoors gift certificate as payment, the certificate must be turned in at the time of registration.
