Good reports from most local rivers and ponds/lakes:
The Ammonoosuc produced some nice fish for one of our guides, Ben, last week.
A few customers said they have caught a few trout in the Mascoma this week.
The White is producing 10-14 Rainbows on dry flies, mostly in the evenings from Sharon up to Stockbridge.
And, of course, small brook trout streams always seem to be productive in August.
Fly update:
Stonefly and Hare’s Ear nymphs are catching trout.
Stimulators, Caddis and white mayfly dries seem to be the choice right now.
PS – Don’t forget… take a pic and post it before Aug. 31 for your chance to win a $25 Hanover Outdoors gift certificate.
